"WEAVE" - eine Performance in zwei Teilen:
Erster Teil: (20-30 Minuten)
Drei verschiedene geometrische Figuren (ein Quadrat, ein Dreieck und ein Kreis) sind auf dem Boden markiert. In jeder dieser markierten Formen befindet sich ein kleiner Berg aus Kleidung.Die beiden Darsteller, Rasha und Christoph, treten jeweils in eine dieser Formen ein und beginnen Kleidung anzuziehen. Anschließend bewegen sie sich in eine andere Form, ziehen diese Kleider wieder aus und ziehen andere an. Und so weiter.... Es ergibt sich eine stetige Veränderung und einen Austausch der Forminhalte.
Die geometrischen Figuren stehen für unterschiedliche Kulturen. Die Kleidung repräsentiert entsprechend die verschiedenen Haltungen und Lebensweisen. Der Austausch der Kleidungsstücke an den differenzierten Orten stellt den konstruktiven, gleichberechtigten zwischenmenschlichen Austausch dar. Er spiegelt die Möglichkeit sich zu ergänzen, voneinander zu lernen und zu profitieren.
Zweiter Teil: (offene Zeit)
Die beiden Performer, Rasha und Christoph, sitzen sich auf zwei Stühlen gegenüber. Beide beginnen gleichzeitig in ihrer eigenen Sprache zu sprechen. Rasha auf arabisch, Christoph auf deutsch. Während des Sprechens sind die Darsteller nur auf sich selbst beschränkt und hören sich gegenseitig nicht zu.
Nach einer gewissen Zeit des chaotischen Stimmengewirres spricht einer und der andere hört zu. Sie verstehen jedoch nicht, was der andere sagt. Es gibt ein Interesse füreinander, aber nicht genug Anstrengung, um sich zu verstehen.
Wieder nach einer gewissen Zeit spricht abwechselnd der eine und der andere versucht zu wiederholen was er hörte, im starken Bemühen aufeinander zu lauschen.
Daraufhin wird das Publikum eingeladen mitzumachen. Eine Person kann sich Rasha und eine andere Christoph gegenübersetzen. Wieder spricht einer, der andere versucht zu kopieren und zu wiederholen. Immer mehr Paare können aus dem Publikum gebildet werden, bis es eine große Gruppe wird. Jedes Paar spricht, hört zu, wiederholt und tauscht sich in seinen Sprachen aus. Aber sie müssen auf zwei verschiedene Sprachen sprechen. Dabei können sie auch ihre eigene Phantasiesprache kreieren!

The CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival is an alternative platform that brings art, music, design, dance and performance out into the streets. The community-based festival takes place in James Town - one of Accra’s most historic communities and targets exchanges between Ghana-based and international artists creating and appreciating art together.
Para-Other represents our evolution beyond the dialectic of belonging and non-belonging. It is a rejection of citizenship that has no place for the advancement of radical imagination, new perspectives of the self and human agency. Para-Other is a transatlantic shortwave that transcends language and geography, but is also represented in relationship to unique locals. It is a philosophy born out of historically determined necessity to flourish beyond a world of alienation and crisis we currently experience as reality. Para-Other requires new knowledge fractals, codes, symbols, and sounds that transmit our core creative intent where imperial languages fail us. This order is an embracing of a black labyrinth and establishment of an aesthetic that captures our cessation of flight and transit into a non-contested existence.
„WEAVE“ - a performance In two parts:
First part: (20-30 minutes)
Three different shapes (a square, a triangle and a circle) are marked on the floor.
In each of this shapes there is a small hill of clothes. The two performers, Rasha and Christoph, each enter to one of this shapes and start to put on some clothes. Then they move to another shape, take these clothes off again and put on other ones. And so on... This results in a constant change and an exchange of form contents.
The geometric figures represent different cultures. The clothing represents accordingly the different attitudes and ways of life. The exchange of garments in the differentiated places represents the constructive, equal interpersonal exchange. It reflects the possibility to complement each other, to learn from each other and to profit from each other.
Second part: (open time)
The two performers, Rasha and Christoph, sit opposite each other on two chairs. Both start speaking in their own language simultaneously at the same time. Rasha in Arabic, Christoph in German. While speaking, the actors are limited to themselves and don't listen to each other.
After a certain period of chaotic voices one speaks and the other listens. But they don't understand what the other one is saying. There is an interest for each other, but not enough effort to understand.
Again after a certain time one speaks alternately and the other tries to repeat what he heard, in a strong effort to harken to each other.
The audience will then be invited to participate.
One person can face Rasha and another Christoph. Again one speaks, the other tries to copy and repeat. More and more pairs can be formed from the audience until it becomes a large group. Each couple speaks, listens, repeats and exchanges in their own languages. But they must speak with two different languages. They can also create their own fantasy language!
